IL $15 Minimum Wage Clears House Committee

The House Labor and Commerce Committee voted 17 to 6 to recommend HB 198, which would increase the state’s hourly minimum wage from its current level of $8.25 to $15 by 2022. The first increase, to $9 an hour, would go into effect Jan. 1.  Read more from the Chicago Tribune.
